This is a batch prepared mix which is loaded with tastes of a festive period, rendering it excellent for hosting a festive gathering. Reserve the remaining cordial for brunch beverages, puddings, or to mix additional servings of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Makes enough for 10 servings
For the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
For the Cocktail (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
For the Citrus Syrup: Place the listed ingredients into a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, mixing to dissolve. Then, turn off the burner and leave to reach room temperature fully. Transfer into an sealable bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it can be stored for about one month.
For the Cocktail Base: Mix every liquid ingredients in a large bottle, leave to sit for one hour, then pass it through , ideally through cheesecloth, making it perfectly clear.
For serving: Pour 85ml of your premix into your mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring carefully for a minute to chill. Strain into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with a few cranberries and complete it with a light spray of the essential oil over the drink.
